Free Wichita, KS Events for February 2010

4- Rockwell Branch Library.7pm. Listen to storyteller Diane Ferlatte talk about Africa. (Kids ages 3+)
5-First Friday-6pm-9pm (after 9pm cover charges will apply) On First Fridays, there are many opportunities to listen and support local live music for free.
-The Kansas African American Museum7pm. Listen to Diane Ferlatte talk about Brer Rabbit and tales of Africa.
6-Botanica Gardens-Family Fun Fair 10am-1pm Admission to the gardens and all activities are free. The kids can make over 10 different crafts and a limited number of guests will also receive a free birdhouse.
-Alford Branch Library 10:30am. Listen to storyteller Diane Ferlatte talk about Africa and Brer Rabbit. (Kids ages 3+)
9-Puppet Show 7pm Rockwell Branch Library
10- Puppet Show10:30am Rockwell Branch Library
13-Puppet Show10:30am Central Library
18-Puppet Show 7pm Westlink Branch Library
26-Final Friday- Main hours 7pm-9pm (times may vary by gallery) If you don't already know, Final Friday is when restaurants, art galleries and museums stay open late. You can check them all out for FREE and you can ride the trolley for FREE! Check out the Final Friday Map for locales and trolley stops.
27-Magic Tree House Party 2:30pm Alford Branch Library (ages 7-10)
-Family Artventure 11am-3pm Wichita Art Museum

**The Wichita Public Library also has Toddle Time, Nursery Rhyme Time and Family Story Time every week. Check out the library's calendar for dates and times of these events.
**The Wichita Public Library also has a list of free events for adults. (I did not list them above because I didn't want this calendar of events to get too congested. Let me know what you think. If a majority of people would like me to list all of these events in the future I will.
