Here are some free events to entertain your kids with in February if you live in the Wichita area. Most libraries have free events, so check your local library website if you don't live in the area.
Wichita Public Library - Westlink Branch from January 13 - April 7
Toddler Time -- Tuesdays 10:30am (20 min) Stories, rhymes and motion activities for 2 year olds with an adult helper. Registration required.
Preschool Story Time -- Tuesdays 10:30am (30 min) Stories, finger plays and more for children 3-6.
Family Story Time-- Wednesday 10:30am (30 min), Thursday 7:00pm (30 min) Interactive storytelling and activities for children aged 2-7 with their families.
Nursery Rhyme Time -- Friday 10:30am (20 min) Music, rhymes, activites and stories for children ages 2 and under with an adult helper.
Special Events at Westlink Library
Tuesday, February 3, 7:00pm (60 min) Mush! Iditarod Competitors by Karen Land and Borage. Meet Karen and her Alaskan Husky Borage. They will tell you about their adventures with sled dog racing. For ages 6 and up.
Thursday, February 19, 7:00pm (20-30 min) Puppet Show. For ages 3-10.
Special Events at Central Library
Tuesday, February 3, 10:30am and 7:00pm, Tuesday (20-30 min.) Same performance at both times. Puppet show "Jack at the Bottom of the Sea" for ages 3-10.
Event for adults -- Tuesday, February 10, 7:00pm. (1.5 hrs.) Learn how to crochet. We'll provide the supplies. Must call to register 261-8500.
Tuesday, February 24, 10:30am and 7:00pm (20-30 min.) Same performance at both times. Puppet show "My Fair Share" a spin on the tale of the tortoise and the hare. For children ages 3-10.
